About this position
As a Engineer - Body Assembly Engineering, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of vehicle bodies and supporting new model development. Your problem-solving skills and technical expertise will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
• Quality Issue Resolution: Address body assembly quality issues using effective problem-solving methods and quality control (QC) tools.
• New Model Development: Support the development of new models by ensuring precision in body dimensions and production processes.
• 3D Drawing Proficiency: Read and create 3D drawings to facilitate design changes and improvements.
• Process Improvement: Enhance production processes to boost efficiency and quality in body assembly.
• Defect Investigation: Investigate defects and implement solutions to achieve quality targets (DPHU).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams from R&D, production, and suppliers to meet project objectives.
• Data Tracking and Reporting: Track and report key quality data using Microsoft Excel, and present findings using PowerPoint.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to the production team to uphold high standards in body assembly.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in Kaizen activities to foster ongoing improvements in body assembly.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations in all tasks.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in using QC tools.
• QC Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with QC tools such as Fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts, 5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), root cause analysis.
• Proficient in reading and creating 3D drawings using AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar software.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Able to communicate, discuss, and present in English (TOEIC score of 550 or higher).
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with various departments.
• Excellent interpersonal relations, positive attitude, punctuality, responsibility, and the ability to work under high pressure.
• Logical thinking, analytical skills, problem solving skills & decision making, proactive approach to challenges and learn new things.
