Engineer, Vehicle Quality Assurance (QA)
About this position
We are seeking a dedicated Engineer, Vehicle Quality Assurance to join our team, focusing on process improvement and quality assurance within our vehicle production environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our GEMBA (Go and See) practices and ensuring the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
• GEMBA Process Improvement: Set up and verify standardization processes for GEMBA improvements.
• Defect Investigation: Conduct initial investigations of vehicle defects, follow up on findings, and validate solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with relevant departments to analyze root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Problem Solving: Utilize strong logical thinking and decision-making skills to address quality issues.
• Inspection Process Enhancement: Improve vehicle inspection processes to support the GEMBA team in achieving operational efficiency.
• Quality Standards Management: Set up, confirm, and update related quality standards, including Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and machine startup checklists.
• 4M Change Validation: Validate changes related to Man, Machine, Material, and Method.
• Audit Documentation: Prepare and update all documentation related to audits (ISO, TISI, UNR, etc.) and ensure document consistency.
• Lead Investigations: Lead initial investigations of vehicle concerns, follow up on countermeasures, and validate their effectiveness.
• Reporting: Summarize findings and reports in English for Engineering Management.
• Facility Support: Ensure facility readiness and provide total preventive support.
• Additional Tasks: Perform other assignments as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in Automotive Quality Assurance or related fields, or newly graduated candidates are welcome.
• Proficient in vehicle analysis, production line improvement, and facility/machine operations.
• Strong logical thinking, a willingness to learn, and a can-do attitude focused on continual improvement.
• Able to communicate and present in English (TOEIC score of 500 or higher).
• Familiarity with QC 7 tools, Why Why Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Root cause analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal relations, positive thinking, punctuality, responsibility, and the ability to work under high pressure.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and DWG software.
