About this position

We are looking for a talented and experienced Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team. The Industrial Automation Specialist will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining industrial automation systems, as well as troubleshooting existing systems and providing technical support. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of industrial automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). The ideal candidate will also possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop automated industrial processes, systems and components.
2. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial automation systems.
3. Install, configure and maintain industrial automation systems.
4. Implement new technologies and software to improve automation processes.
5. Develop and maintain technical documentation for industrial automation systems.
6. Perform preventative maintenance on industrial automation systems.
7. Analyze system performance and suggest modifications or upgrades.
8. Monitor system operation and respond to alarms and errors.
9. Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure system reliability and safety.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.
2. Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and technologies, e.g. PLCs, motion control systems, etc.
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other documentation.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
