Alpha JWC Ventures is seeking a seasoned Investment Professional to join their dynamic team and play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities.
Kewajiban
• Deal Origination: Spearhead the identification and origination of investment opportunities through proactive networking, industry research, and strategic partnerships with accelerators, incubators, and industry stakeholders
• Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment targets, including market analysis, financial modeling, competitive positioning assessment, and evaluation of the founding team's capabilities
• Investment Analysis: Assess investment opportunities based on their strategic alignment with the firm's investment thesis, growth potential, scalability, and potential for value creation. Present investment recommendations to the investment committee with detailed investment memos and financial analyses
• Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Lead the negotiation and structuring of investment terms, collaborating with legal and financial advisors to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks. Manage the entire deal execution process, from initial discussions to final investment agreements
• Portfolio Management: Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies, actively monitoring their performance, identifying growth opportunities, and helping to overcome operational challenges. Participate in portfolio company board meetings and provide ongoing mentorship and support to founders and management teams
• Industry Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics relevant to our investment focus areas. Share insights with the team and contribute to thought leadership initiatives
Kualifikasi
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, with a proven track record of successful investments and deal execution. Venture-building experience is a major plus
• Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess investment opportunities and develop sound investment theses
• Strong negotiation and deal structuring capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex transactions and drive favorable outcomes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment rationales and strategic insights persuasively
