Category Manager is the key strategic thinker to manage category management and space management projects in order to grow category, provide key market insight, shopper analysis, and recommendation to drive growth of the company.

Kewajiban

• responsible for category management projects with customers.
• all available data including Nielsen, shopper data analysis (EGG, CSmart) to develop category strategy and tactic.
• Assortment Review for each account/store format
• Merchandising/ Planogram (POG) concept in order to drive category growth
• POG and guideline to Category Traffic team to develop, adjust and utilize space to grow category
• manage Fair share of shelf compare with share of market
• the category advisor for sales team in term of Category Strategy including how to grow category, doing promotion analysis, range review, SKUs rationalization
• good relationship with customers to gain trust and maintain preferred supplier position with customers
• the key contact person with retailers’ category management or merchandising team
• capability of sales team to utilize all available data in both internal and external business review or joint business plan
• in depth account analysis using POS data
• and analyze market situation via Nielsen data/ shopper data to find key source of growth/decline, performance of NPDs including KC and competitors with the impact to current business, and recommend key actions to core team
• data and key insights of all sources (Nielsen, Shopper Data, Category Strategies, Channel Strategies and Brand Plan) to provide recommendation and key action to related parties (Trade Marketing, Key Account, Marketing, Finance) in order to drive sales and gain market share
• market intelligent data and provide report as standard template (eg. Nielsen, EGG, CSmart) in order to utilize by all parties for the category update and market movement
• new product launch on category impact and merchandising guideline
• category strategy, market and category analysis in order to seek for market opportunity to further drive category growth and KC business
• the key contact person for shopper research project
• an expert of Nielsen and Shopper Data (EGG, CSmart)
• and work with Regional team related to category data/ shopper data.

Kualifikasi

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, or any related fields.
• 5-7 years of work experience in Category Management/ Space Management/ Trade Marketing/ Sales in consumer goods industry in Nielsen and in-depth knowledge of shopper data (EGG, CSmart and etc) is a key advantage
• mathematical, analytical and presentation skill
• high data accuracy
• able to multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• strong sense of urgency and drive for results
• collaborative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to work within and cross functions
• in Microsoft office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
