• Submit customs declaration form(s) and complete related activities as required by the government, facilitating timely clearance of all shipments.
• Perform end-to-end customs activities, including but not limited to checking of documents, entering data in relevant systems, inspections of goods, clearance and third-party documents.
• Oversee loading and unloading activities, escalate any defects to relevant parties and follow up with necessary surveys.
• Respond to customs-related inquiries and resolve disputes, including tariff codes between customers and regulatory officers.
• Create standard operating procedures, identify business risks and provide trainings whenever required.
• Attend to customs examinations and ensure relevant certifications are valid.
• Monitor day-to-day performance of customs-related suppliers.
• Arrange for product re-classification with customs ruling department if required.
