This assessment focuses on crucial behaviors expected from manufacturing workers to perform a safe and efficient duty. The questionnaire assesses both self-control behavior traits (including timeliness) as well as the capacity to identify and collaborate on any issue that may arise.
Why those behaviors matter in the workplace
The qualities required to be a good manufacturing worker are not just technical skills. Depending on the work environment, workers may be required to frequently change roles, and production lines, and enroll in production experiments that may require some flexibility.
In particular, the ability to identify and deal with unexpected production issues is one of the most common qualities quoted by factory floor managers. Dealing with the issue itself may require problem-solving skills if the issue is self-managed, or communication and collaboration skills, if it is expected from the worker to escalate the issue and follow through with resolution with colleagues.
Factory workers are under time pressure to realize their shift, self-management skills such as punctuality and a certain level of resilience are also important to be able to perform production duties are expected.
