What does a Machine Operator do?

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of all production machinery and equipment. You will be required to follow all safety policies and procedures in order to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. You must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of Machine Operator

1. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and other specifications to determine machine setup and operation.
2. Review job orders and determine material requirements and machine settings.
3. Install, adjust, and program machine tools, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
4. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair machine tools, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
5. Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
6. Monitor machines in order to detect malfunctions and adjust settings accordingly.
7. Load, unload and position materials, parts and products during machine operation.
8. Measure and inspect finished products using precision instruments and verify conformance to specifications.
9. Keep records of production output and report any issues to supervisors.
10. Prepare and maintain production reports, logs and other related records.
