What does a Security Guard do?

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and company assets. They will report directly to the Head of Security and collaborate with the security team to monitor surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and respond to any security incidents or emergencies. This role requires strong observation skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities of Security Guard

• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to ensure the security and safety of employees, visitors, and property.
• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and prevent unauthorized access or activities.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any suspicious or unusual activities.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the premises, including checking doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and maintain safety.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees and visitors with directions, information, and access control.
• Write detailed reports on incidents, accidents, and any unusual occurrences, and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary, and assist in investigations as required.
