Environmental Health Safety Specialist
About this position
The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will apply technical knowledge of process safety to deploy corporate standards to handle hazardous processes.
Responsibilities
• Assess environmental health and safety risks, opportunities and impacts, standards and regulations and advise on potential impacts to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the implementation of programs and processes in alignment with the environmental health and safety regulatory of government, International Standard Organization (ISO) management system and corporate guidelines.
• Implement environmental health and safety activities, including emergency response plan, incident/accident management, training implementation and performance management.
• Provide operational leadership to audit, inspection and risk assessment processes.
• Lead the fire-fighting system management for assigned areas. Identify and assess high risk processes, conduct process hazard analysis and take appropriate action plan to ensure compliance standards are met.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confirmed hazard and risk management skill.
• Minimum three years of directly related work experience.
