Junior Asset Management Analyst
About this position
GCP Hospitality is looking for a Junior Asset Management Analyst or Asset Management Analyst based in Bangkok.
Responsibilities
• Perform accurate and timely review of the submitted operational reports of the portfolio hotels, perform the required analysis to the operating results, while liaising with the hotel operators for inquiries and clarifications, and prepare input notes on any critical areas for the consideration of the asset manager.
• Review and analyze the submitted budgets by hotel operators and provide input to management, in order to challenge and debate the budgets and underlying assumptions.
• Work with the hotel operators to forecast, monitor, and manage cash flow of the hotels, ensuring financial obligations are met.
• Ensure full compliance to Hotel Management Agreement, Franchise Agreement, Loan Agreement, and other agreements, and outline any potential breaches to the agreements to take the required actions.
• Conduct ad-hoc research studies as instructed whether related to the review of operated hotels or any other related topics of interest.
• Assist with other miscellaneous duties, as requested by the executives and asset management team leads.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Financial Institution, Investment Banking, Real Estate Services Company, or financial analysis role with a desired to focus on asset management of hospitality project.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong financial and analytical skill - ability to review and synthetize great amount of information and to work with numbers and identify and resolve problems based on the analysis.
• Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
