The Senior Accounting Manager is a leadership position that is responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department. The position is responsible for developing and implementing efficient strategies and processes, as well as overseeing the day-to-day activities of the accounting team. The Senior Accounting Manager is also responsible for monitoring the accuracy of accounting records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities

1. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
2. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP
3. Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting
4. Prepare, analyze and interpret financial reports to assess department performance
5. Design and coordinate budgeting processes and procedures
6. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
7. Monitor cash flow and make recommendations for improvement
8. Provide support to auditors and ensure compliance with regulations and legislation
9. Manage financial risk and set up strategies to minimize it
10. Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure they are up to date with new developments and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and auditing standards
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions
