About this position
Seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef with a background in Mediterranean cuisine to join the culinary team.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop creative and authentic Mediterranean-inspired menus.
• Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Supervise and train the culinary team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute dishes with precision.
• Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to maintain optimal ingredient freshness and availability.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and standards.
• Contribute to menu planning, cost control, and kitchen budget management.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
• In-depth knowledge of Mediterranean cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
