About this position

The Technical Leader is responsible for leading and managing the work of designing, developing, deploying and optimizing processes for manufacturing to achieve quality cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customer’s products.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for understanding the customer’s technical roadmap and identifying and managing all new customer-specific process development projects.
• Manage technical aspects for all new customer-specific process development projects.
• Develop the scope of all technical work, coordinate the team, direct work assignments and assist with problem resolution for the full customer product life cycle support for all manufacturing technical issues related to the customer’s product(s) from product conception to product obsolescence.
• Evaluate potential manufacturing impact for each design concept.
• Responsible for the best practice standard development, participate in Industry organizations for developing the standards and provide training and application support globally.
• Set yearly plans and goals for their department and give direction on expected performance and provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.
• Defines process problems that lead to throughput or quality issues, evaluates cause of problem, implements solutions to stabilize processes, evaluates results.
• Acts as the focal point for all product-related technical issues.
• Interacts with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product and/or the product data release process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• 7-10 years of working experience in new project and engineering management in electronics industry
• Well understanding of NPI-PCBA, DFX, FA LAB, Optical & X-ray Inspection, Machining & Others, Mechanical & Systems Assembly, PCBA Assembly, and Microelectronics
• Good project management with leadership and financial acumen / business planning
• Excellent English skill (speaking, writing, and reading)
• Able to work in Laem Chabang
