Quality Manager/Asst. Manager

Combining a unique understanding of composite materials, structural design and careful craftsmanship,with state of the art facilities including a multimillion dollar finishing plant, COBRA is able to prototype, produce and manufacture fully finished painted or clear coated Automotive parts and panels for serial production. Our extensive product list includes: exterior and interior parts and powertrain parts for premium automotive and motorcycle OEM’s.

About this position

The Quality Manager/Asst. Manager is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards, resolving quality issues, and implementing best practices for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty)
• Manage and coordinate customer claim, customer problem solving on time, cost recovery, customer warranty and customer quality audits
• Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently
• Carry out product and process auditing
• Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained
• Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators
• Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes
• Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system
• Write product inspection/testing procedures and/or work instructions
• Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Participate in cross-functional teams for new product development
• Participate in the development and refinement of Process FMEA’s
• Assist with training of quality awareness
• Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
• Attend various meetings and communicate instructions
• Produce written reports and make presentations
• Independently determine approach and assigned tasks

Requirements

• Knowledge of quality systems
• Prior experience as a quality manager in a production processing environment
• Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes
• Strong Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA requirements
• Strong knowledge of Cote Tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC and MSA)
• Understanding of ISO14001 and Health and Safety Practices
• Knowledge of measurement system
• Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
• Planning and prioritizing activities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
