The CNC Engineer Programmer (CAD/CAM) is responsible for reviewing 3D designs and engineering drawings for CNC machining operations, ensuring compliance with safety rules, and improving setup processes for efficiency.
•Complying with the company safety rules and policies.
•Reviewing 3D designs, engineering drawings, models, and/or samples for CNC machining operation.
•Setup tooling/machine for test cut during the trial process until achieving the first-article parts.
•Making improvements to the setup process, improving efficiency and output - reducing setup time, and reducing setup scrap.
•Monitoring all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and safely complete the task.
•Following up on corrective actions on Quality Issues, Processes & Design functions.
•Working with the production team and quality team to ensure all customers' on-time delivery.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
•5 years of experience in the Automotive/Aerospace industry related to CNC Plate Plasma cutting or Robot coping.
•Able to interpret engineering drawings with a full understanding of GD&T symbols.
•Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint).
•Solid foundational understanding of the machining process, including CNC turning, milling, EDM, honing, and drilling.
•Good command of spoken and written English.
