About this position

The Senior Network and System Engineer will be responsible for designing and deploying functional networks and systems, configuring and installing software, monitoring network and system performance, resolving escalated issues, automating tasks, overseeing security measures, communicating with users, maintaining technical documentation, suggesting improvements, and more.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks and systems.
• Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices.
• Monitor network and system performance and integrity.
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

Requirements

• Solid background in network and system administration and architecture
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols
• In-depth understanding of security services such as Antivirus, Firewall, Wifi Controller
• In-depth understanding of AD, VMWare, Mail, Backup & Recovery, Patching, Monitoring tools
• Familiarity with access control models and network security
