About this position

The Sr. Electrical Design Engineer/Schematic designs position involves creating and modifying standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations of low to medium complexity.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering solutions for substation automation control and protection, including drawings and IEDs configuration according to specification
• Contribute to design reviews and design verification
• Identify variation requests to support contract claim
• Follow work plans and cost estimate for work in one’s area of responsibility
• Complete risk and opportunity assessments and implementation of resulting actions
• Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of design assignments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• More than 8 years of experience working in Schematic designs
• Knowledge of relay protection, substation automation design, and the utility and industry market, able to use AutoCAD and E3
• Further experience working in IEDs configuration would be advantageous
• Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
