About this position

As a Senior Network WAN Engineer, you will be responsible for designing Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure robust and reliable connectivity across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Defines network design policies, philosophies, and criteria.
• Manages WAN optimization projects to improve data transmission speeds and reduce latency across geographical locations.
• Oversees regular network performance monitoring and conducts detailed network analyses to preempt potential issues.
• Leads network upgrade initiatives, including the evaluation and deployment of new hardware and software technologies to enhance connectivity.
• Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity measures are in place and effective by maintaining redundant network systems and backing up network data.
• Collaborates with security teams to implement robust security frameworks and compliance protocols across the network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on WAN technologies.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware with proficiency in Cisco or similar technologies.
• Strong expertise in Switching: HSRP, DHCP Snooping, Spanning-tree security, Port security.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in English.
