About this position

The Agri-Input Procurement Specialist will oversee the procurement of agricultural input goods at the regional level, supervising procurement administrators, maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring product availability, and contributing to profitability through competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the procurement of agri-input goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of the region.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with principals and suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals for the company.
• Ensure the continuous availability of products by managing inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
• Conduct market analysis to understand current market conditions and trends.
• Recommend selling prices for agri-input goods based on market conditions and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align pricing strategies with business goals.
• Contribute to the region’s profitability by optimizing procurement processes and negotiating favorable terms.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the procurement process.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Able to communicate using English.
• Proven experience in procurement within the agricultural sector, especially agri-input (saprodi); seeds, fertilizers, chemicals.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct market analysis and price recommendations.
• Able to travel within the region.
• Semarang placement.
