Responsibilities

• Be the technical expert and regional point of contact to understand customer requirements, address end user specifications and apply knowhow for machine selection and solution finder
• Provide support to sales, quotation, customer service and other process technology teams
• Lead the startup and troubleshooting of specialty Optical Sorting applications (premium solutions, plastics, etc.) ensuring hands-on exposure to our portfolio solutions to build in-depth knowledge
• Provide insights on design-bases, offer technical sales support, and interface with customers to address their needs and concerns
• Develop and conduct trainings for internal (sales engineers, service engineers, etc.) as well as externals stakeholders (customer, channel partners, etc.), ensuring comprehensive understanding and skills enhancement
• Champion digital services (e.g. SORTEX Monitoring System), develop awareness and understanding, ensure region-wide adoption and effective execution
• Provide critical input in the design of contractual services tailored to the different markets in Southeast Asia, focusing on customer satisfaction and efficient resources allocation
• Lead the research analysis of competitor products, product pricing, technical specification, and prepare regular comparison matrix

Requirements

• Higher technical education with specialization in Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related Engineering field
• Proven track record in customer-facing roles
• Hands-on experience with optical, optoelectronic or electronics engineered solutions
• Ability to work with electronics-intensive machinery, understand their functions and troubleshooting requirements
• Experience and ability to develop and prepare site visit reports
• Good technical aptitude in both process control and machine mechanics
• Previous experience with digital services offering will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Future-focused thinking, with an emphasis on digital service offerings and after-sales services improvement
• Strong willingness to learn
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Dynamic and multi directional thinking
• Ability to co-ordinate, motivate and lead
• Ability to work independently
• Strong problem-solving & crisis management skills
• High English proficiency is required
• Fluency in other Asian languages will be an added advantage
