About this position

Manages all aspects of the global engineering relationship with key suppliers of external hardware, components, materials, or services for product development and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Designs and integrates quality requirements, processes, and practices into product development and manufacturing.
• Reviews and evaluates supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company guidelines and standards.
• Analyzes reports, test data, and process results to identify trends and issues.
• Communicates product and process issue analysis to stakeholders.
• Drives innovation and integration of new supplier technologies.
• Represents the quality engineering team for larger and more complex projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Lean, Six Sigma green belt or equivalent preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience.
• Experience in the PC, Webcam, or Battery industries preferred.
• Strong analytical, statistics, and problem-solving skills.
• Factory process & quality audit experience or ISO9001 knowledge.
• Understanding of material properties, hardware and electrical component design and manufacture, and industry quality standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate quality plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
