What does a Building Manager do?

Responsibilities of Building Manager

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of building equipment and systems.
• Manage and coordinate all building renovation and construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor selection.
• Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify and address any safety hazards or code violations.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests and concerns, ensuring a high level of customer service and tenant satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all building maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective and reliable services.
• Develop and manage the building's annual operating budget, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings.
