Chevron Thailand Limited is seeking a Lead, Laboratory to manage and lead laboratory activities in Bangkok, ensuring product testing accuracy and integrity while supporting operational excellence and compliance with various standards.
• Manage and lead laboratory team and activities both quality control and quality assurance to ensure product testing accuracy and integrity.
• Work collaboratively to provide safe, reliable, and efficient support, enabling the team to meet and exceed financial and business plan commitments, as well as sustainability development of quality assurance as assigned KPIs.
• Manage operational expenses (OPEX) within the business plan. Support and engage the team in OPEX reduction initiatives, reducing waste from laboratory operations, implementing cost reduction initiatives and Lean Sigma.
• Maintain high standards in housekeeping, work execution, environmental and regulatory reporting, and all operational excellent (OE) activities, ensuring no overdue actions, zero recordable injuries, and no spills.
• Apply Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) tools, Analyze Hazards, and Assess Safeguards (AHAS), Stop Work Authority (SWA), and Safeguard Learning Tool (SLT) practices to recognize risks and ensure safeguards are in place and functioning, keeping the team safe and operating without incidents.
• Eliminate non-value activities and support the operations in meeting business performance and targets.
• Collaborate with the planner and operations team to manage base oils, gradual product depletion, additive/product shelf-life handling, and overall operation optimization.
• Work with the Sales and Technology Teams on non-routine laboratory operations, including special testing, customer complaint investigations, product registration, bidding formulation, documentation, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and standards such as IATF16949/ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC17025.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Excellent organizational, leadership and communication abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO standards, including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, IATF 16949 and ISO17025.
• Proficiency in product formulations, laboratory procedures and safety protocol.
